About me!

With an academic background in psychology and over 25 years of experience within the field of applied positive psychology in the workplace.

I look at the source of each person’s ability to thrive and develop: The ability to take positive control of choices, actions and behaviours.

I work as a trainer / facilitator, a coach and present at conferences around the theme of behaviour change.

The People Alchemist

Noun / al-che-my \ al-ke-me

“A person who transforms or creates something through a seemingly magical process”

I put people first

I do what I do because I have a genuine curiosity about people. I really like to help people understand what makes them tick, and why they behave the way they do. It’s a privilege to guide the journey to uncover what the root causes are to the perceived barriers or limitations they set for themselves, and help them to move forwards developing strategies and using tools to help them become a better person. Seeing people work hard at growing and developing gives me a real sense of satisfaction.

I have experience of working across all sectors which enables me to easily engage with anyone no matter their role, or industry. I have a degree in psychology, and am trained as a mental health first aider. My favourite biscuit is the chocolate hobnob.

I have a busy home life and work hard to create balance. Family life with my partner, three older children and Richardparker the Golden Retriever means there is never really a dull moment. I love to go camping and I’m pretty good at putting up tents and lighting fires. I am passionate about my ballet dancing classes, my gym classes, reading books, upcycling, watching films, eating good food and spending time with friends. I also like a bit of quiet time when I walk Richardparker in the local countryside and I’m more than happy to hug a tree.
