My Approach

The how

My style of delivery is extremely interactive, using all different learning styles to meet everyone’s needs in a group. Training and content is much more memorable when we ‘feel’ it, so I will often tap much more into helping people feel connected to the content with challenging tasks that ask the learner to become much more self-aware. Creating a place of psychological safety is of paramount importance to allow group members to know that vulnerability is supported.

The why

I do what I do because I have a genuine curiosity about people. I really like to help people understand what makes them tick, and why they behave the way they do. It’s a privilege to guide the journey to uncover what the root causes are to the perceived barriers or limitations they set for themselves, and help people move forwards developing strategies and using tools to help them become a better person. Seeing people work hard at growing and developing gives me a real sense of satisfaction.

The who

With an academic background in psychology and over 25 years of experience within the field of applied positive psychology in the workplace, I look at the source of each person’s ability to thrive and develop: The ability to take positive control of choices, actions and behaviours. I work as a trainer / facilitator , a coach and present at conferences around the theme of behaviour change.
